Landon HIse, CEO
Landon E. Hise has been named chief executive officer for AllianceHealth Woodward effective Sept 16, 2019. In his 13 years of experience in the health industry and his 5 years experience as a hospital CEO, he has built a strong track record of success, in physician recruitment, expansion of services, and operational leadership, and he has demonstrated passion for service and quality excellence.
Most recently, Hise was CEO for AllianceHealth Clinton, a 56 bed acute care facility in Clinton, OK. While there, he was very instrumental in improving the community use of the hospital, by recruiting several primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and specialists. Prior to that, he served as the CEO of Cordell Memorial Hospital in Cordell, OK, for 4 years. During his tenure there, Cordell Memorial was ranked a top rural hospital in the United States in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
After growing up and attending high school in Hooker, OK, in the Oklahoma panhandle, Hise earned an Associate of Applied Science in radiologic technology from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, an Associate of Science in business and a Bachelor of Science in health care administration from Columbia Southern University in Orange Beach, Alabama. He’s also on track to complete an Executive Master of Health Administration from Trinity University next year.
Landon has been named one of “Oklahoma’s Most Admired CEO’s”, and named to the ”List of Achievers under 40” by The Journal Record in 2018 and 2019, and Oklahoma’s youngest hospital CEO at the age of 30 in 2014.
In addition to spending time with his family, Hise values community involvement and has been active in the city council, chamber of commerce, Lions Club, and church activities.
John Brown, Physician Practice Administrator
John Brown has served in multiple capacities during his nearly 30 year career at AllianceHealth Woodward. With a Bachelor’s degree in biology and minors in chemistry and medical technology, Brown is also a registered medical technologist (MT –ASCP). After serving as the laboratory director for 10 years, his experience allowed him to also work as the clinical services director and the chief operating officer at Woodward Regional Hospital. As facilities director and compliance officer, Brown is responsible for facilities management, life safety and regulatory compliance. He was named Nonclinical Manager of the Year in 2009.
Brown is active in community and civic activities and is married to Debra. They have two children, Julie and Jamin, as well as two grandsons Mason and Ethan.
Melinda Brock, Human Resources Director
Melinda Brock, human resources director, has worked at AllianceHealth Woodward since 1997. She began her career as a registered dietitian at Woodward and has been in human resources since 2011. She was awarded Nonclinical Manager of the Year for 2010 and that same year was recognized with the Firestarter Award on a national level. She is also the Community Cares Champion and Volunteer Coordinator for the hospital. Brock’s passion for building teamwork and developing a positive attitude throughout the organization is evident in her job every day.
Brock holds a Master’s degree from Oklahoma State University. When not working, she spends time with her family attending OSU football games with husband Aaron and taking daughters Megan and Allison to dance competitions across the United States.
Kim Nickelson, Director of Quality Management and Regulatory Compliance
Kim Nickelson’s first job out of college was working in the lab at then Woodward Hospital and Health Center. Then, for several years, she worked in small and large hospitals in Oklahoma and Kansas until finally she returned to AllianceHealth Woodward as the quality director in early 2016. Kim has a Bachelor of Science in microbiology and a Bachelor of Science in medical technology from Oklahoma State University. She has been a licensed medical technologist since 1979.
Kim brings with her over 30 years’ experience in the lab and a wealth of knowledge in quality improvement principles. She works closely with the medical staff, department leaders and hospital staff throughout the facility to insure the hospital meets regulatory and accreditation standards. She supports the development and implementation of quality assurance measurements and promotes implementation of evidence based best practices.
Kim and her husband Mark enjoy spending time with their kids and grandchildren.
